The General Radio 1632-A Inductance Bridge was introduced in Catalog P (1959) and remained available through Catalog 1973.

The Type 1632-A inductance bridge is based on the Owen bridge circuit at audio frequencies. The decade controls for "G" and "L" display their values with decimals in a series of vertical windows speeding up the measurement. The recommended generator is 1311-A and detector 1232-A which in combination make up the Type 1660-A Inductance Measurement System.

Specifications

  • Inductance Range: 0.0001 μH to 1111 H
  • Conductance: 0.0001 μS to 1111 S
  • Inductance Accuracy: ±0.1%, direct-reading (reduced accuracy at the extremes of inductance, Q, and frequency ranges)
  • Conductance Accuracy: ±1% direct-reading (accuracy reduced at the extremes of the Land G decades, Q, and frequency)
