The General Radio 1214-M Unit Oscillator was introduced in Catalog P (1959) and remained available through Catalog S (1965).
The Type 1214-M is a member of the Unit Oscillator family that uses a self contained power supply. The single 117N7 tube contains the power supply rectifier and beam PA as the oscillator. The 1 MHz output is used as a generator for bridge measurements, and is part of the 1610-AH capacitance measurement system. Other members of Type 1214 family are 1214-A, 1214-D, and 1214-E. Like others in 1214 family, the 1214-M uses a transformerless power supply.
