907-R144
The General Radio 907-R144 Synchronous Dial Drive was introduced in Catalog O (1956) and remained available through Catalog S (1965).
The Type 907-R144 is a synchronous dial drive with a pinion speed of 4 rpm. Its function is to sweep the dial of the attached instrument at a rate synchronous with a graphic recorder. For X-Y recorder operation, an internal 20 kΩ potentiometer (simultaneously sweep) is used for synchronization. The 907-R144 is self-reversing when it encounters a mechanical stop. Functions include plotting frequency versus amplitude. Because of the slow 4 rpm pinion speed, the Type 907-R144 is not recommended for oscilloscope presentation and not compatible with 908 dials.
Compatible oscillators are 1210-C, 1360-B, 1361-A, and 1564-A.
